Lady Tennyson
By: John Waterhouse
Oh my child, rest in Me.
Yes, quietly settle down in my care,
as a bird settles in a nest.
For I am watching over you,
and in love will I care for you.
There is no danger with which I am unable to cope.
There is no enemy too formidable for Me to handle.
I am able to carry out all My purposes,
and to keep you at the same time.
Be not afraid;
neither allow terror to strike at your heart.
My power is at your disposal.
My presence stands round about you,
and nothing can harm you
so long as you are in My care,
and that is forever...

I LOVE this...I'm going to share this with some friends and put it in my favorites book..."quietly settle down in my care" wonderful
What a wonderful poem!
Lovely, dahling... I was just listening to a country song called, "I'll Run to You"; I don't know if you know which song I'm talking about, but it's the one that says--The world keeps spinning faster to a new disaster and I run to BABY!--whaaaaat! I keep thinking when I hear that song that the writer originally wrote it with the word JESUS there instead... Who would run to another person when the proverbial sky is fallin'--huh? Thank God He is with us through it all!
PS My cat's getting used to the Fairy music when it suddenly comes on when I go to your blog; that first song reminds me of Vanessa for some reason.
We're up in Anaheim Hills, in the smaller, 1974 built, 3 bedroom homes; comfy, not cold... Some of the newer houses that are further out are whoppers--can you say "housekeeper"? Isn't blogging fun; you get to know the most interesting people without meeting them...
Check out another AnaheimHillian on my bloglist called Domestic Engineering Guy. He's a funny writer and hardly anyone reads him, but I had a few good chuckles reading his stuff! And I had to read it all after I read a few... I commented on a lot of them since it seemed like he was writing into dead air and I'm over here laughing my head off...
Anyhoo, you can tell I love to write and was a word processor in my day to it's so easy to sit here and type; I'd better get some housework done.
Hugs, Barb the AnaheimHillian;)
Lovely and encouraging words!
Oh my, this goes along with my post today and Psalm 91. Lovely coincidence! **blows kisses** Deborah
Hi dearest!
I truly loved your post. I read it several times and then I read it to my DH and he had me send a copy of it to his email. We loved the line....My presence stands round about you.....
Thank you for this post
Deanna :D
Hi Deanna, You're welcome and Pam also :).
Barb, your right up the street from where I work and, "no" I haven't heard that song. I just started listening to country after about a 3 year absence.
I'm glad your kitties getting used to the music... it does sound a bit like the Fanciful One :-). I think she's a faerie in real life or at least a sprite.
I'll check out your friend, but first I must stop by Darling Deb's.
Have a fun evening sweet ladies.
