A Mid Winter’s Tea

tea-1

Hello! Do you remember me? I hope so!

I wanted to thank all of you for the lovely comments about how to finish off my little sparkly baskets for my tea give-away’s. Sadly, they never made it to the tea and are stacked on my dresser in the guest room. My table fell apart at the last minute so I decided to save them for another day. Who knows, maybe I’ll use one for a give-away on my blog…that would be fun.

I made the sweetest little center piece out of my green pedestal, a garden cloche, and a few rolls of ribbon. I liked it so much that I decided to keep it as a little display on my work table.

It was such a busy day that I forgot to take pictures after I had set my table so your only getting a wee glimpse of what it looked like.

Another sweet center piece from one of the tables we had. I’m always amazed at how creative we women can be, aren’t you?

Each one of my guests was given a sugar shaker along with half a dozen Lavender Shortbread cookies and the recipe so they could make their own. Have you ever tasted Lavender Shortbread? It’s really delicious and super easy to make.

Well I have a busy day ahead of me. I’ve been pulling weeds and planting seeds while the sun’s been shining, but the rain is on it’s way…I love the rain!

I hope you all have a beautiful day!

All cleared up! Your winter tea is lovely. You really know how to make it like a fairyland.

Now get off that farmville and live!!!! I keep wanting to delete my FB account all together, but it is the source of staying in touch with my family. It mostly discourages me...I don't like to see all the thoughts of peoples I know or all the games they're playing. It's so different than blogging. And there are too many virus' to catch there.

Glad to hear you are gardening, real gardening, with hands in the soil and sunshine on your back. Too cold here. Been busy doing indoor projects instead. Hubby is painting french doors as I type! I miss seeing you here in Blogville. Lovies, Fairmaiden

I agree with you about FB with all the people that are strangers asking to be friends. It is good in so many ways though so I stick to it. Lovely post and really enjoy this blog. :)

Hi Cori!

It is so good to hear from you!

I made lavender cookies only once but they were so good! I will have to collect more lavender buds this summer and make them again. Did you also make the sugar lavender flavored?

The cloche filled with ribbon topped by a bunny is so pretty! You always make such pretty things.
