Each morning as I check my mail box I'm greeted with a morning devotion from Mike MacIntosh of Horizon Christian Fellowship. I know I've posted some of them in the past and every time I do I feel as if someone needs to hear the words he's written. So here we go again with a little snippet of wisdom from my favorite pastor and God's healing Word.

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9

How sad to see this world running in circles, looking in all the wrong places for joy and happiness and love. Love and joy are two tremendous powers that come from God. Both of these powers are a profound presence, reaching into the deepest, darkest area of your soul to turn on the healing lamp of God. Joy flows from the well of love. You see, a vast amount of our hurts come from the lack of love and joy. But just mix these two elements into our recipe of living, and there isn't much in the area of hurt, pain, and suffering that can linger too long. The fact is, the joy of God heals. I know this may sound too simplistic, too easy. Most of us, in our more cynical moments, have questioned the sincerity of those who tell others to "have a nice day." One lady was overheard saying to someone who told her to have a nice day, "I have other plans." May I ask you, What are your plans? Are you ready to take your hurts to God and allow Him to heal you? If you are simply ready and willing, He wants to heal your hurts by imparting love and joy. He has been in love with you for years. He's seen your smiles and He's seen your tears. Let God heal you of your hurts. He's ready to do it, you know! His love has the wonderful power to heal you today.

Good words Cori G! Made me think of the fact that Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy. Hebrews 1:8-9...

This is wonderful! How great you can feel when you need to share! It is nice when things just happen because they are supposed to! I too think you have to find Love and Joy and Hope within. God gave them to us and we need to find them and remember them.
Hugs, Lisa

hey Cori! Yes Big Calvary was my initial sending church and my home church for years as an adult, but after my 1st year I switched to WestGrove to be my sending church. They were my church in high school and have actually partnered with me on all of my missions trips since I was 17! :)

Hope you had a lovely Easter!

Oh my goodness! I am so embarrassed with what Milo is doing over at my place. I need to get him in shape. I promise he will be well behaved.
