Memorial DayThe above picture is of the cross that sits atop Mt. Solidad in San Diego. It was placed there as a memorial of the soldiers who have died to protect this great country and what it represents.
This cross has been the center of many court battles as there are some who view it as an object of offense and would like to see it torn down.

This is a beautiful photo ...what a dramatic sky! I hope the cross remains there forever. I will be posting some beautiful Celtic crosses we saw in Ireland in a future blog. They have been in the same cemetery for over 900 years!
