Patience Waits

Patience is like the petals of a rose unfolding.
It is silent.
It does not complain about its own slowness
nor chide another for his.
It is able to wait,
for it knows that time is as important as speed.
It knows that there is often much speed in the Spirit
while there is slowness in the flesh.
It knows there is a divine clock that has wings
where mans clock has hands.
It is aware of God's perfect timing
even though it cannot tell the hour.
It penetrated the wall of silence
and has faith that God is indeed working
even though it does not hear the chiming of the passing hours.
Yes, Patience is another child of love;
for it is Love that waits,
knowing all is well and all WILL be well,
because God loves and cares.
Patience can wait
because Patience knows that God is Love,
and love is timeless,
and love is loving while patience is waiting.

That is beautiful. So pertinent to my life right now...my parents, my boy. Waiting. Beautiful photo of the rose. Wishing you a day filled with things you love. **blows kisses** Deborah

Hi Cori!

Thank you for the nice "welcome back"! It was so much fun spending a week with my son and daughter-in-law and my grandson. He is such a sweet baby.

I love this passage and your rose isa perfect illustration...it looks so beautiful that I can almost smell it!

Hugs, Pat

I've always loved "Patience is Waiting". It's about having faith and trusting the guidance (a gift) given us, so that we may take action, which usually brings forth more gifts. My problem is that I usually hear during the night, and by morning, I must go to work. Hm...

It has been awhile since I've been here...thanks so much for coming by to see me tonight. Blogland is so HUGH, I find myself lost a lot of the time. I try to follow everyone but , whew...it is work to get around to them all. With spring and all the yard work, I just don't stay on my computer all that much. I love pre-scheduling a whole weeks worth of posts....
Take care..hope all is well with you.

Thank you for your prayer my friend. I talked with my Doctor on the phone this morning. He said I didn't need to come in. The flu can last two weeks...I am getting better, it just seemed too slow, but he said it sounds right. So, I keep resting, drinking plenty of fluids, taking cough/cold meds, coughing, and walking a bit to open up the lungs. It's an aweful flu. I haven't been this sick in three years.
