You will guide me with Your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.

Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73: 24-26
Good morning Ladies,

I can't believe that we are already on the letter P, can you?
Last night as I was pondering the letter P I was reading through Psalms and ran across this promise. What ever you may be going through, the Lord is there and He is our strength, refuge, rock, and hiding place that we can run to no matter how the storms rage around us. He is our portion FOREVER!!!

I pray that today you would find strength in Him and His words.

Beautiful words of truth and thoughts Cori!
Yes we arrived into LAX last night at 7:30.
Today I hit the ground running getting things organized for the last day of Women's Bible Study tomorrow.
Is the 2nd coat the last coat??
How's your back holding up?
Blessings...

AMEN! Thanks for taking part Cori...
RYC: I LOVE the chapter of Deut. I shared...God has spoken to my husband and I through those verses so many times as we go through hard seasons. I am in pursuit of something I have had with God...now whether I need to be totally content with this new relationship we have...I don't know. But honestly I'm not content...I want an intimacy we once had....
I read that Mother Theresa heard God intimately until the day she stepped out in obedience to His calling...then she felt He was silent the rest of her life. I can understand what she might have meant. Sometimes what I have lost with Him is overwhelmingly gut wrenching...it is a very bizarre thing that is probably hard to explain to people.
He has done GREAT things in my life and "stuck in the middle"...no...in pursuit of Him...yes.
Blessings of all His best to you today.

Hi Ellen B.,
The second coat is the last coat and boy is it shiny!!! The first coat I mean. Its the same stuff they use on Basketball courts so you can imagine :). My back is doing great. Hubby and I worked side by side brushing it on. I think it took 1/2 hour-45 minutes tops. Not bad.

I hope you get everything done today :).

Wow. I was going to leave a nice fluffy comment, however, Grey Like Snuffie's comment just blew me away! Check out some of the Mystics...that may help understand...St. John of the Cross, or Dark Night of the Soul. God does court us, doesn't He? Oh how we all love falling in love with God. **blows kisses** Deborah

Oh, just breathtaking! There is nothing like the Word of God. I love visiting everyone's scriptures because even the familiar seems new when I look through the eyes of others!

Great post, Cory. Sometimes I smile and think to myself that God must be saying that I require a mighty portion. ;-)

Today I am thinking of Psalms 51:12 as so many believers walk in "offense".
Psalm 51:12: Restore unto me the joy of my salvation!
Your blog is lovely!

Thank you, Cori, for this encouraging scripture! It reminds me that no matter what happens on this earth, God is sufficient for us. And we are to focus on our "forever" appointment with Him.

Many, many blessings to you this weekend.

Love,

Andrea
