Come What May!

Most of us have times when we can say, "Oh, I know that God loves me now"; but the feeling is transient, and soon passes away. Tomorrow we are doubting and fearing as before, and the joy has gone out of our heart. Does God's love then, change? Did He love me yesterday, and does He not love me today? Has the divine heart unclasped its hold upon me? No; the love of God is changeless and eternal. Heaven and earth may pass away, but the kindness of the Lord shall never depart from any of His children. Let us try to grasp this truth. Then, come what may, joy or sorrow, prosperity or adversity, we shall know always that the love of God abides unchanging-that we are held in it's clasp with a hold that never can be torn loose.
J.R. Miller (1840-1912)

When we feel distant from God it is not He who has turned away...but us!

Thank you for sharing this. I love J.R. Miller's writings.

And that Milo sure looks like he's having a grand time with you.

The wilderness is good..."She comes up out of the wilderness leaning on her Beloved." Song of Solomon 8 or maybe its 7.

I don't know how many times I have tried to do it mans way, but didn't get anywhere with it. I have always tried to seek him out until the day the Lord got me to a place that turn it all around for me. I now go to a church that preaches truth and received the precious Holy Ghost which I never even heard of before. But to keep the Lord alive that is in me it takes going to church faithfully to hear the word of God and praying daily is a must. Like the comment Diva Kreszi said above is so correct... it is not he who abandon us it is we.

Hi Cori, I'm still here, but I don't spend to much time on this blogging thing. Hey what does Milo think about having his picture taken? What a cute post that was with Milo. The photo shot with Milo's butt in the air lost in the pile of lace is pretty funny. Kinda reminds me of us woman looking so hard to find that particular piece that will make our day-

God's love is my most treasured possession. This is beautiful, Cori.

I've been missing you. I've been way too busy - and a bit dull. ;-)
