The Sewing Bug

sewing-bug
I had to go out and buy some sewing supplies this morning and Milo agreed to tag along as long as
HE GOT TO DRIVE!
Now you may be wondering why Milo’s driving backwards, but he’s not really. Most bugs have eyes that rotate 360 degrees and Milo just happens to be one of those kinda bugs. Lucky him, don’t you think?
Yah! Me too!
Anyway, like I said, we went out to buy supplies, but stopped to have coffee with Kathy first.

This was Milo’s first trip to the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. When we walked in the door his little nose started twitching with delight! “What is that divinely delectable aroma,” says he (yes, he uses words like that). “Coffee says I.” He could hardly wait until I got my cup to take a sip.

Yes indeed! I sip my coffee out of a straw and I know it’s a wee bit weird, but now Milo does it too. Oops! It looks more like he’s inhaling through his little nose. Milo! That’s not how you drink coffee you silly bug!

After coffee we went to one of our favorite Antiques stores in Fullerton, The Brick Basement. They have so many baskets full of lace and I needed to find some for some pillows I'm dreaming of making. Milo admitted that while lace isn’t really his thing he’d still have fun and dove into a basket to see what was at the bottom.

He came up sneezing from all the dust, but found the prettiest piece so we bought it.

Later today we’ll be sewing some velvet pumpkins that Milo’s very excited about, knowing that Darling Deb is wanting to make some to. Deb, we should have the pattern finished by tomorrow and all the glitches worked out then I’ll send you a copy.

Milo is having sew much fun learning new things and trying out new experiences.
He especially enjoys learning about things that go fast!! Even if it is just a sewing machine ;-).
PS Darling Deb:
Just so you know I’m not the one who taught your little bug how to drive. He was mumbling something about PFC Ryan and donuts. Do you know anything about this? Hee Hee!!!

Okay, it is now 18 minutes later since I started laughing and my stomach hurts from laughing! This is so FUNNY, amazing, and adorable. Cori, you are just toooooooooooo cute for words. Every single picture is DEVINE!!! Straw up the nose. Did you sip after that?!?!?!? OMGoodness, such fun. You are a Delight! I knew from the minute I met you that we were soul-sisters! Cyber-sisters. Mothers of a bug born of two mommies sisters! **blows kisses in between fits of hysterical laughter** Deb

I think Milo is living dangerously with th sewing machine! I was expecting the next image where he gets sewn into the fabric! Whew! Thank goodness, he is safe.

Darling Deb, Of course I sipped after Milo stuck the straw up his nose...there's not much up there other then fluff ;-O! I too knew from the moment we met that we two were kindred spirits, my sweet sassy silly immature friend ;-). Like I've said before, "lucky was the day that I followed the little rabbit trail that led to your blog ;-)!!!!!!!

Robin, do you know the story of Milo? He's a Millennium Bug whose been hiding in Darling Deb's closet since N.Y.E. 1999. She finally convinced him to come out of the closet and see that the world really isn't a scary place. He had so much fun that he decided to take a vacation and is visiting Deb's bloggy friends around the world. I was just his first stop along his journey :-).

Ces, I wouldn't let Milo get sucked into the feeder. He still has to make it all the way to you IN ONE PIECE. Oh, he told me he's looking forward to hanging out with you and wants to see all your paintings and drawings ;-).

xoxo Cori
