To answer your question: No, I haven't been to Lady Mendl's for tea. I looked it up on Google and I see the tea salon is located in the Inn at Irving Place in NYC. I've had tea with my daughter-in-law in Denver, where she and my son live. Quite a few B&B's offer tea on the weekends, and we had tea at The Ida Lindsey Tea Room in the Holiday Chalet B&B http://www.denver-bed-breakfast.com/tea-room.htm It was a very relaxed and friendly place.
