Several weeks ago I met my friend Pat from Mille Fiori Favoriti and Joanne from My Cottage in the Making in San Diego for the day. Pat was here all the way from Brooklyn N.Y. in fact this is Pat's First PINK SATURDAY POST! HI PAT!
While in San Diego we wandered around what once was known as The Bazaar Del Mundo. As we were talking and strolling we happened upon this little shop with the pale pink door. I think we should step inside and see what they have, don't you?The store was filled with beautiful multi -colored butterflies hanging from the shelves.
I was particularly drawn to the pink ones.
Joanne found these lovely little pink sachets for me to photograph for Pink Saturday. It's always fun meeting new friends and seeing what kind of funny little habits they have. Well, let me tell you, Joanne goes into stores and moves things around so she can photograph them for her blog and she does it with such confidence. Not me! I have a streak of paranoia... I have this fear that someone will ask me to leave the store or they'll think I'm trying to steal something as I'm hiding my camera from view. In fact, just the other day...well, never mind.
These little pink beauties were discovered at the Hotel Del Coronado's Gift Store. Aah! I could have stayed there all day long. Aren't those little neck pillows just divine? I thought about buying one for the back seat of my brand new car, but did I...NO! They were even scented with lavender. I seem to pass up a lot of purchases.
Darling Herbs and Spices with the Hotel Crown motif and some lovely rosy tea cups. Oh, those sweet little pink rose buds in the silver bowl...napkin rings. I actually thought about buying some and adapting them for hats, but did I?...
These I just loved even though they weren't pink. Darling little charm bracelets circling miniature dress forms. Such beautiful intricate details. Along the road we found so much more pink, but as the saying goes, "so much pink, so little time to post about it."
I hope everyone has a fun PINK SATURDAY and don't forget to stop by our gracious pink hostess "Beverly" at How Sweet the Sound.
A Final note about Joanne's rearranging SO NO ONE GETS THE WRONG IDEA: I watched her moving this and that here and there and thought to myself, "now I wish I could do that and not be such a chicken!"

Hi Cori, my name is Kelly and I'm Ellen's SIL, and found your site from hers. Love your pink post...I'm not far from San Diego and will have to check out the shops.
Wanted to respond to you Halloween comment. Ellen's sister Kathy used to come carve pumpkins with us on Halloween and as she did it she would explain to my then small boys that a jack-0-lantern was like a Christian. First you scoop out all the yucky, sinful stuff (done to many giggles) then carve on a happy face and put in the light of Jesus to shine out on everyone who came to visit you that night.
Blessings.
Happy PINKness day, Cori!!!
I love the pink roses tea pots and the pretty picture frame in the same photo.
~Blessings,
Jan
Oh, Cori...this is a beautiful pink posting. I enjoyed it all so much...thanks for sharing!
And, thank you for your help on solving my spacing problem. I need to work with that little eraser to see just what it will do. Blogger lets me get everything nice and straight and spaced right on my drafts but when I publish, everything goes astray! It actually, I am sure, is in some of my settings. Again, many thanks...
love, bj
Love your pink finds Cori! I'm cracking up cuz I know how you feel Hiding your camera! :0)
Happy Pink Saturday!

Fascinating shop. Happy Pink Saturday!
Sounds like a nice place, your friend is daring!
Happy Pink Saturday, Cori.
It sounds as if the three of you had such a fantastic visit. Isn't it fun to see how pink has caught the attention of so many? I believe it is a good thing.
Gosh, she IS brave !! lol I haven't quite mustered up the courage to even bring my camera into a store, let alone redecorating while I am there !! lol !! Beautiful post !!
Happy Pink Saturday !! :)
Hi Cori,
Happy Pink Saturday. I loved all of your pink pretties. Please go back to look at the yellow bathroom again. Next to the shower is a brown looking area. The floor was rotten...yikes. It was one of the first things we had to do. You just can't sit on a wobbly throne ya know. It was so disqusting. Add to that, the time we came in to work after being gone a few weeks and we had a bat in that ugly toilet. Yes you heard me a bat and 3 in the sink.
They had died. The bath was so ugly it worked like the cross on a vampire and killed them.lol And our contractor tripled his quote to us. He said he was a Chritian and honey...I still have to repent and ask for help with forgiveness at how he took advantage of us. My hubby didn't get a contract...that was silly but we trusted him as a brother. So the bath came with it's cost.
hugs
Becky
Hi Cori,
Thanks for visting my blog today. I'm so glad that you stopped by for a visit. I am a huge fan of the "Art of Tea" and your blogs are very pretty and very charming. In addition to both of us having the Lady Carlyle pattern of Royal Albert, I also have several pieces of the Welbeck Chintz featured in some of your photos. Take care..
That sure sounds familiar...Bazarre Del Mundo...I think I used to go there when I lived in San Diego while attending SDSU. Love that pale pink door!
Lovely pink- love the little charm bracelets on the miniture dress forms. Happy Pink Saturday.
Hi Cori
I left a post here this afternoon but I'm not sure your blog word verification accepted it.
I survived root canal today --- it wasn't as bad as I feared and it is do good not to have an achy tooth anymore!
This was a fun post! It brought back good memories. I don't remember that pink door in Old Town -- you were very observant! I wish I bought some more things in all those lovely shops too! That always happens to me though. I see, don't buy, and then I think about it when I get home and wished I did. Oh well -- next time ! :-))Hugs Pat
What a great post! Happy Pink Saturday!
Hi Cori!!! I must admit your puppies are hard to beat. Love all the pictures you've posted. I did go to the Greek festival today...wasn't quite what I expected...it was really tiny. Food was good though!! :D Hope you have lots of fun! See you Monday! Love you!
The pink door would have drawn me in too : ) Sounds like a fun memory filled day with friends, love those kind of days.
Kathy
What beautiful things in those shops. I always ask if I can take pictures, but I don't think I'd be brave enough to move things around. What a fun day you must have had.
Hello Darling Cori!
Looks like you had some fun in San Diego! Love SD which is just about an hour from me! Love your Pink Saturday posting of the quaint store and the many pretties!
I always enjoy your Sunday quotes also! Have a wonderful week dear!
Hugs,
Maryjane
Oh, P.S.! Looks like we share the same taste for PINK & ROSE china! LOL! Mj
Sounds like you had a fun day! I LOVE Hotel Del! We stayed there one time, it is so beautiful and so is the beach!
I had to laugh over you being timid about taking pics for your blog in stores, because I am too. I'm always afraid someone will yell "HEY WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES IN HERE!"
tee hee!
Margie :)
I, like you..wish I was a bit braver. Ahhh, the missed photos missed..:) Happy Pink !!
LOL I forgot all about rearranging the stuff to take the pictures. Hey, if anyone asks you to leave, then just go. It's their loss not yours. But snap that photo first then leave. LOL
Love the pink Day of the Dead lady.
I searched for some while in Mexico on my cruise. Found a few small ones but not 1/2 as cute as the ones we saw in SD. I think I'm going to end up going back to get some from that shop.
Hugs,
Joanne
