Frodo: I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil.

I think it is hard for us to remember that there are other forces at work besides the evil when times are bad... but somewhere in our heart, I believe, we feel the hope of a better day. I believe that hope is a spark from God reminding us it's okay, I am still here and for you! We just can't bury that hope and get hard hearted, and build walls around ourselves. Man that is so hard to do though isn't it?
Great reminder that you posted today... I will be caring it in my mind all day and for some time to come.
Thanks for sharing...

Ahh, yes, all our times are under God's control. It will be interesting to see what we have to learn from his hand in the next several years...

Hi Cori

Such a sad post, I hope all is well!

God's greatest commandment was "Love One Another" I do believe in the power of love.

Hugs, Pat

Hello Ladies,
I have a confession to make...my post wasn't about anything personal, but about the inauguration of our new president.
I feel that this beautiful nation of ours is about to undergo many changes that none of us are prepared for.
My prayer is that our new president would come to know Jesus personally and that as a result he would have the wisdom to make better decisions than he's made in the past.
My fear is that we as a nation are teetering on a slippery slope and one wrong move could send us toppling head long over the cliff, but God is still on His throne and maybe, just maybe this is the beginning of the end...now that's an exciting thought!
