This looks like fun doesn't it? This is where I spent my afternoon, lazily daydreaming while my dentist fitted me for a new crown. Yay! I'm so excited! My dentist is a real character and his assistant is a sweet woman I've known for years. We used to volunteer together.
Anyway back to my teeth and my dentist.
Doctor kept telling me that I was going to be the envy of all my friends with my new crown in place. "Would that be the crown in my mouth or the one on my head"? Somehow I think he and I have different ideas of what a crown should be and which type should be envied. Certainly not the type that fits in my mouth, but then I don't own the other type. Maybe I should buy one!
Now if you want to talk about castles or castle walls I do have a set of those...where else? In my mouth. I have such a small mouth that all my teeth are crowded together.
I received all these lovely gifts from my mother. Thanks Meemeechka! Why couldn't you give me thick hair? Wavy hair? Auburn hair? Those would have been gifts to cherish, indeed, but don't feel bad...I love you, crooked teeth and all :).
So back to the teeth, if you were to look at my bottom row you would see that every other tooth is forward then backward, forward then backward, just like a castle wall (I'm sure I'm conjuring up lovely images in your head).
Why don't I get braces, you might ask? One simple reason... Fear! Fear of being in agonizing pain for however long it takes. Fear of not being able to bite down on anything because my jaw is killing me and motrin has become my best friend and fear of what might happen to my life if I have to give up chocolate for two years or more. All valid reasons, don't you think? There are of course, worse things in life like having no teeth.
So I will love my new crown, wear it proudly, and show it off to all who pass by...
well, maybe not everyone :).

Cori, you have a great sense of humor. I hate going to the dentist but I need to go. Haven't been in years. God bless.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Ever so happy you came to visit, for I just had the loveliest of times visiting you! I think you should have the crown upon your head. **blows kisses**

So sorry you had to sit in that chair! That's my least favorite kind of chair for sure. Your post is reminding me of Anne of Green Gables :0)
Glad you are wearing your crown proudly...
Hi Cori,
What a funny photo you included in this post. I'm so glad we live today instead of in the days of yore, simply due to medical advancements. Please e-mail me. I'd love to send you an e-mail about this post but I can't find your addy.
All the best, Lana
I had two crowns put in and need two more. I am thankful for the dentist, just not knocking down any doors to go have tea with one! ;o)
So glad you are going to feel put to fights soon dear friend.
