My beloved spoke, and said to me:

“ Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
Give a good smell.
Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away!

Song of Solomon 2: 10-13

Good morning Ladies and welcome to another "ABC's of the Word" hosted by our wonderful Pam of Grey Like Snuffie.

I'm trying desperately to stay in the Song of Songs as long as I can because I feel that many of us need to sense that gentle tugging on our hearts and know that while we are not perfect and continue to blow it, The Lord loves us so passionately. Not because of who we are or what we can do for Him, but because of who He is and what He HAS DONE for us.
I pray that each of you would experience that gentle nudging today and abandon yourselves to His love.

For more ABC's of the Word visit Pam at Grey Like Snuffie and help us stir up God's Word in our hearts.

RYC: You crack me up. I agree with your thoughts about The Message... and when I read what you said and went back to what this passage said...well...good giggle for the morning. I think I made the birds MAD, I've never seen their kind before. They have HUGE pointy beaks and they are VERY vocal this morning. :o)

Guess what I am going to start reading? Wish you were here to see my babies and to talk about what the Lord has been speaking to you.

Hi Cori!

I love this verse from Song of Solomon. It uses such vivid imagery.

I've been so busy and out of the house lately. Today was raining and I had a chance to get some well needed rest.

Hugs, Pat

'F' for Fairmaiden! wink giggle

I haven't been in blogland this week. Been too busy. Our church is having a conference this weekend and we've been helping get ready for it. I'm almost done painting the BuG rOoM...I got to paint larger than life grass and bugs on the walls of one of the children's ministry rooms. I will share in a post soon. Hope all is well with you! Sorry I haven't been by to say hello. I've missed you. I like to visit your blog every evening(our computer is a laptop that hubby takes to work with him every day, so I only have access in the evenings). Have a beautiful weekend, fairmaiden

PS have you been by to visit my friend's new blog...tickleberry farm?

Hi Fairmaiden,

"F" is for funny! Funny you :).
How "Fun" to paint giant bugs with giant grass. I once did a whole Noah's Ark theme in the children's room where we were going to church, but never did have the film developed. I can't wait to see yours!
I haven't seen your new friend's blog so I'll go check it out now.

I've missed you too! It seems everyone is so busy and there's not enough time for visiting.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend...any "Fun" plans?
I'm going to a tea on Saturday!!
