I can't believe how quickly this week has come and gone and now it's the weekend...at least for me. I have a million little projects brewing in my head and am wondering when I'm going to find the time to start one and begin another. And yet here I sit on my computer blogging away.

The gardens here at Brambleberry have been completely strangled out by weeds so hubby and I are thinking about reinventing the entire yard. There's a flagstone garden that used to be home to 28 creeping herbs, but now there are three plus the weeds. A lattice fence was built around it to create a garden room, which now has to be torn down due to wood rot and those little creatures that are so fond of our cottage, termites. Garden fences are hanging catywompis and every thing is covered by passion flower and nasturtium. It sounds lovely doesn't it...nasturtium and passion flower...It's a mess really. A sad vision of it's former self.

So, we are thinking of tearing out the flagstone or at least everything around it and putting in raised vegetable beds to grow our own food. Of course we'll keep the vineyard at the back of the property with the Adirondacks and umbrellas and maybe this will be the year that we get around to building the pergola for my beloved wisteria vine. I long to see the flowers growing and smell their sweet delightful scent.
Oh! I've gotta run. I hear the Scrub jays calling from the garden. It's been years since I've had jays so I must woo them with hands full of peanuts.
Have a fun day!

Right now I'm praying for God to deliver me a miracle...some young person who wants to come help me when it's time to hit all the gardens....We've put off a fence for 8 years because of all sorts of reasons....I don't want a plastic white one with the style of our home but the wood ones do not last long...hmmmm, hope your birds came your way!

Cori, your garden sounds lovely, weeds and all. I am longing for a cottage garden. And speaking of wisteria, it is one of my favorites. Isn't it beautiful? Have a blessed weekend.

Oh how I wish I had a garden. Since we live in an apartment, I'm limited as to what plants (none at this time) I can have. I do have one lemon tree and one orange tree that I bought two months ago. They are smallish but growing steadily! My husband bought me an orchid plant but I think it might be drying out. We keep it too cold in the apartment. Poor thing. I just don't have a green thumb at all! LOL!!

Whatever you do to your garden, be sure to post it. I would love to see what you create!
