I have to say that I have no creativity when it comes to tag titles, but no matter. My sweet friend Pat tagged me for a music meme and since it's always fun being tagged I decided to play along.
These are the rules:
1. List seven songs you are into right now.
No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your Summer.
2. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs.
3. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.
I LOVE SOUNDTRACKS FROM MOVIES!!! My absolute favorite right now is the song "Fairy Dance" from the Peter Pan soundtrack. The first time I heard the song I was blog hopping and clicked on a blog where it was playing. It tugged at the strings on my heart.
My next choice would be Loreena McKennit's CD that came with her Nights at the Alhambra DVD. Such beautiful haunting lyrics and enchanting music. She always make you feel as if your right in the middle of an ancient tale. I was lucky enough to see her in Concert last spring at an open air theater in San Diego. Her voice is even more gorgeous live.
I love the CD from the Red Violin. Joshua Bell is by far my favorite violinist.
On my way to work each morning I listen to Marty Goetz who's a Jewish Believer. I find that as long as I'm listening to him nothing fazes me. You could rear end me and tell me you had no insurance and I'd be happy as a lark. All his music is straight from the book of psalm.
When I'm traveling it's always Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, a bag of M&M's (plain thank you) and a Dr. Pepper. I simply cannot go out of town without those two CD's. Another favorite musical traveling buddy is Steve Taylor who I'm sure no one has ever heard of. He's a Christian musician who was popular in the eighty's.
I listen to a lot of instrumentals as it provides background music for my daydreaming and creative processing and I don't like my music to be loud unless of course I'm in my car.
My last choice I'm embarrassed to say is "Belly Dance" music. It is so much fun and has the catchiest rhythms. I usually listen to this in my car while I'm driving down the street doing head slides. I only hope I'm not bopping to anti-American tunes.
So, that's it for my wonderful choices in music for the summer. Actually there my choices for all year long.
If you would like to participate in this fun little Meme, consider yourself tagged and please let me know if I've tagged you.
