Work hard and with gladness at all times, as though working for Christ, doing the will of God with all your heart.

Is it possible to face the tasks of the day with a positive point of view? Can we follow Paul's admonition in Colossians 3:23- "Whatsoever you do, do it whole heartedly, as to the Lord, and not unto men?" It is possible to sacramentalize our daily routine. I can hang this verse over the kitchen sink, the work bench, or the desk-and discover the difference attitude can make toward the daily tasks that can so easily become drudgery. If we make Jesus our boss instead of the sink, or desk-we will discover that the routine can become rich in texture as we seek to glorify Him, no matter how mundane the task.
