The next few days are going to be busy here at our crumbling cottage as we're preparing to have 15 guests tomorrow evening. This sort of event always throws sweet hubby and I into a tither as we scramble about fixing and repairing, cleaning and scrubbing, and ripping out and redoing. The weeds have gone wild with this heat and the vineyard has completely enveloped my beloved wisteria and worked its way into the neighbors yard.
There are so many incomplete projects that just need that last little detail and yet I don't think any of them will be finished before our guests arrive. There is so much cleaning to be done and boxes that need to be dropped off at the goodwill. So I think I may be absent from Bloglandia for a few days.
Oh! the screen is almost finished. My darling hubby and I always get into these discussions about color. He didn't want to paint the screen white. I told him that it's traditional that gingerbread be painted white especially when you're wanting to repaint the cottage but don't know what color. It took a few days to convince him that white was the right choice.
I hope you all have a fun weekend and I'll be back on Sunday. Until then...
Oh, one more thing...about the little picture that I posted. I thought it was so darling, but in no way was I suggesting that my guests are toads. You can click on his name above and it'll take you to his website. His art work is available for purchase.

Ha! Isn't it great how motivated we get when company is coming. I love it. Don't wear yourself out! May your gathering be blessed with sweet fellowship!!

Wow thats alot of guests all at once. I hope you have a wonderful time! Don't fret too much, your cottage will be lovely. Will your new *white* screendoor be up? Oh, I do hope so.
About the Meme, well I just decided to delete my post. I'm not very good on the computer, and still haven't figured out how to post peoples blogs as links so that you can click on them and go there, etc. And I did get confused...mixing up the names of your cottage and blog. Oops! I do think I will leave your name in my 'cottage companions' as the name of your cottage though. Because I think it is so cute! Bless you sweetly my friend.
HI cori!
I have an award for you on my blog! I hope you enjoy it and pass it on when you ahve a chance.
Have a good time with your guests.

Hugs, Pat
