The Thrill of the Hunt

I have this terrible tea fetish that can't be ignored and yesterday was the perfect day to go in search of tea things to mix and match with my other tea things. I'm not comfortable spending too much at one time so I buy little things that coordinate with what I have.
I was really on the lookout for a small dresser to fit in the little alcove of my bathroom but when nothing turned up and my gaze drifted to these adorable silver forks I thought, "Oooohhhh tea time!"
I started collecting silverware some time ago by buying 6 spoons here, 8 sugar spoons there, and so on. But every time I go to serve tea I'm always one fork short...go figure!
I also found these darling Bavarian Rose teacups and saucers. I thought it rather odd as there were 12 plates, 8 bowls, two soup tureens, and various other pieces for sale but only 2 teacups and saucers. For Southern California the price wasn't too bad...a mere $7.5 per set.
