Sunday afternoon my sweet hubby began the long tedious process of hanging my new screen door. It's very difficult for him to do house repairs because he's such a perfectionist, but the results are always well worth the wait. While he was putting the primer coat on the screen I took a few pictures of my post box or mail box as we Americans call it. I've always dreamed of having one of those lovely front porches where you could sit in the cool of the evening on a hanging swing while sipping fresh squeezed lemonade. My reality is a small front porch that won't even accommodate a small seat where weary travelers can rest, but what I do have is this darling mail box. It was a packet that I picked up at a tole painting show with all the directions and patterns included. It stands in a galvanized bucket with what feels like 50 lbs. of concrete. About every other year someone tries to steal it and I come home to find it standing in the middle of the porch. Sometimes I wonder, "what are people thinking!"
Oh! I should have pictures of the completed screen by the weekend.
I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday.

How do you get the pictures all over your page?

Hi Cori

What a great mailbox...I can see why people would want to steal it, but really! What a nerve!! I'm sure it looks great on your street!

What a very sweet mailbox. I'd love to have an inviting garden like that peeking over a white picket fence...
Blessings on your day!

I can't belive soemone would try to steal your mailbox! Good thing it is too heavy.
