For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10: 4&5

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Hi,

I just heard from Pat in New York and she said you might join us when she is in San Diego! That is great.

I live in Orange County too. Where are you? Maybe we could just car pool down there???

Email me and we can talk about it.

Hi cori,
Thanks for your encouraging words on my blog. I appreciate your eye for beauty and all things pink! Phil. 4:8 is a favorite, one of the first verses I learned as a new Christian. See you tomorrow...

Good words! I am pondering the same truths on my blog.
I think this might be my first visit to your blog, I love it. The teacups are beautiful. I would love to come for tea. :) Have a fantastic day!

2 Wonderful verses! Phil. 4:8 is one that I try to focus on daily, it's amazing how different your attitude and life can be when you are focused on these things!

Oh Cori, thank you so much for taking part in the ABC's of the Word. I'm sure God is blessing others through this but selfishly I feel like God speaks so personally to me each week with the scriptures all of you share. I so need the Phil. one burning in my mind.

Hi Cori, to answer your question about McDuff and the bell! I wish I could take credit for teaching him, but I can't! His previous owner taught him (we got him when he was 9 mo old, he was back at the breeders because his owner had died) He's such a joy, he has such a strong personality, and we get lots of laughs out of him and that bell (among other things!) He likes to ring it when he must go potty, when he wants a snack, when he wants to go for a walk, just to get attention, and when he hears something outside that he wants to go check out. I usually know exactly which reason it is that he's ringing!

My brother also taught his boxer how to ring a bell to go potty, and she rings it only for that reason. It is nice, because you can hear the bell all over the house and it sure eliminates accidents!

Happy Friday!
Margie
