Pink as a rose

Hello all you fellow Pink Ladies. Here we are again for one of Beverly's Pink Saturdays and I'm looking forward to another day of Pink Posts. But, not only is it Pink Saturday it's also the day I will be busy from dawn to dusk doing "tea things." The non-profit that I work for holds an annual "fun-raiser" tea and it's this weekend. So, I've spent the last two days trying to pull everything together.

Since it's our tea weekend I thought I would share the gifts I created for my guests, which are pretty much pink and brown. The first year we held a tea all the staff gave their guests gifts except me. I was horrified! Ever since it's been my goal to out do all the others in the gift area. I feel that a little friendly competition never hurts...smile.

This year I made Mini Lavender & Vanilla Scone mix complements of Marye Audet @ Baking Delights and packaged them in canning jars with a cute tag, a copy of the recipe, some tea bags, and one of those little thingies you rest your spoon or tea bag on. Do you recognize my packaging? It's all over my blog. When designing the tea invitations I played around with different elements and fell in love with the little bird and roses, but since I had chosen blue and brown as my primary colors I stayed with them. I loved the bird and roses so much I decided to use it for my own fun and pleasure.

My crafty friend and I wrapped the handles of brown paper bags with pink ribbon, added some embellishments and Viola! Cute stuff to give away. My boss said next year she's sitting at my table :).

So I hope everyone has a wonderful Pink Saturday and for more Pink Posts stop over at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound.

Oh the scone mix is a great idea! How lovely it is wrapped. I feel bad for you, being the only one baring no gifts before, lol.. and know how you feel now trying to out do. *snort*
The ribbons and trimmings are beautiful.

Thank you for your comment today. Yes, I have actually thought of using the paper as dado panels, but I have too much other stuff to hang up. Plus, the "special thing" that I will reveal soon...

Hi there Cori,
Happy Saturday and Happy Sunday to you, too:)
All your pinkness is such a delight for my eyes today.
I'm widely attracted to the jars and ribbons, so kind presentation for yr guests. No doubt, a unique symbol for pride and memory, that's of Pink.

Btw, you are always all-ways welcome to Istanbul and/or Turquie. Worth to see, and has got more than I can tell/report on my poor(!) blog:)
Isn't it enough it's where the Crossroads of many civilizations and West meets East... For more, we do look for your welcome:)

Have a Happy Pink weekend & Blessed Sunday. Heartfully thanks for your kind pink note left on my blog.

Kindest,

~Nihal
